Youth released from hospital after stabbing attack

A male youth suffered non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed at Inlet Field in Port Moody, according to police.
Port Moody police officers found the youth after being called to the 3000 block of Murray Street just before 6 p.m. on Saturday night.
The youth was taken to hospital, treated, and later released, according to a statement from Port Moody Police Department spokesperson Const. Sam Zacharias.

A suspect was spotted fleeing the area, Zacharias stated. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect, also a male youth, was taken into custody.
“It is unclear what motivated the incident or the relationship between the parties, if any,” Zacharias stated.
