Get your Xmas tree chipped this weekend

If you’re feeling chipper, there are a host of places to dispose of your Christmas tree this weekend.
Coquitlam
After de-decorating and clearing away any leftover tinsel, Coquitlam residents can unload their Christmas trees at Mundy Park on Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Tres can also be brought to Lot A at Town Centre Park between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Residents who want to support Scouts Francophone de Maillardville can cart their tree to the Canadian Tire parking lot on Seguin Drive between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
If you’re able to cut your tree into one-metre lengths and limit branches to 10 centimetres in diameter, Coquitlam residents can also dispose of tree in green carts. The cart lid must be closed.
Port Coquitlam
Port Coquitlam residents can bring their trees – as well as any Christmas lights, small appliances, batteries, electronics, and Styrofoam to the city’s two-day event at the fire hall at 1725 Broadway Street.
There is a $10 minimum donation with money going toward the Port Coquitalm Fire Fighters Charitable Society.
For $20, residents can also have their tree picked up. Fill out the form here or call 604-927-5375 to make arrangements by Wednesday.
Port Moody
Port Moody firefighters are set to chip Christmas trees at a drive-thru event at Inlet Centre Fire Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Chipping is by donation with $5 set as the minimum. Money raised goes to BC Professional Fire Fighter’s Burn Fund.
Trees can also be brought to the United Boulevard Recycling and Waste Centre.
