Thieves rip parcels from Inlet Centre building

Port Moody police are asking for the public’s help in finding two suspects in a Jan. 9 mail theft.
The suspects, a man and a woman, allegedly used the intercom to get into an Inlet Centre residential building at approximately 2 a.m. and grabbed and assortment of mail and packages.
“Attempts to identify the pair have been unsuccessful,” explained Port Moody Police Department spokesperson Const. Sam Zacharias in a press release.

The male suspect has tattoos on the fingers of his right hand, a slim build and buzzcut blond hair. The female has a slim build and long brown hair.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact police.
Police have noted several reports of mail thefts over the last few months, “particularly from large residential buildings in the Inlet Centre area,” Zacharias explained in an email to the Dispatch.
Zacharias listed reports at Suter Brook, Klahanie, and Newport.
“These buildings often have large mail rooms with packages left unattended which makes them common targets,” he explained.
